Memo (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Memo mobile application. This page explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the app.

A. User-Generated Content (Memos)

• Local Storage: All memos and notes you create are stored locally on your device using an internal database (Room).
• Privacy: We do not upload your notes to external servers. Your data remains private on your device.

B. Camera and Images

• Usage: The app may request camera access to capture images for text recognition (OCR).
• On-Device Processing: Image processing is performed locally on your device using Google ML Kit. Images are not uploaded to our servers or stored permanently by the app.

C. Notifications

• Usage: The app may use notifications to provide scheduled reminders for your memos.
• Control: You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

2. Third-Party Services

To improve app functionality and stability, Memo may use third-party services that collect limited technical information.

Google AdMob

Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers to provide personalized or non-personalized ads.

Firebase Analytics

Used to understand how users interact with the app in order to improve features and user experience.

Firebase Crashlytics

Used to collect crash reports and diagnose technical issues to improve app stability.

3. Data Security

Your data security is important to us. Since your primary data is stored locally on your device, its protection depends on your device security settings. We recommend using screen locks and device encryption when available.

4. Children’s Privacy

Memo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with an updated “Last Updated” date.
